Privacy at QuizMilo

QuizMilo is a light-hearted quiz website, but we take privacy seriously. This policy explains what information is handled when you visit quizmilo.com, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

QuizMilo is operated by George Germanos, Agion Apostolon 71A, Greece. In this policy, “QuizMilo”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to George Germanos as the person responsible for the website and its data processing.

Information we handle

You can take QuizMilo quizzes without creating an account. We do not currently offer accounts, payments, a newsletter, or a contact form.

Information created through normal website use

• Technical and security data: IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device information, and server logs may be processed when the site is delivered to you. This information helps operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
• Quiz activity: your answers are used in your browser to calculate and display a result. QuizMilo does not currently link quiz answers or results to a user account.
• Consent choices: the consent system records the privacy choices needed to remember whether optional technologies may be used.
• Analytics data, if you consent: after you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 may receive information about pages viewed, interactions, referral or campaign information, approximate location derived from IP address, and device or browser characteristics. QuizMilo uses GA4 Measurement ID G-E06S0EH9NR. GA4 is not loaded and QuizMilo does not create analytics storage before analytics consent.

We do not currently use Meta Pixel or other advertising or tracking pixels. Google AdSense is being prepared but is not active. If advertising, affiliate links, additional analytics, or new social integrations are added, this policy and the relevant consent controls will be updated before those services are treated as active.

Why we use information

• To deliver pages, calculate quiz results, and provide requested features.
• To protect the website, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable service.
• With your consent, to understand audience activity and improve the quizzes and website.
• To comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims where necessary.

Depending on the activity, our legal basis under the GDPR may be performance of a service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, compliance with a legal obligation, or your consent. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are controlled through consent where consent is required. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie Settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.

Service providers and recipients

We use a limited number of providers to run QuizMilo:

• ip.gr provides website hosting and may process technical data and server logs while delivering and protecting the service.
• Google Analytics 4 provides analytics only after the visitor gives analytics consent through the applicable consent controls.
• Google Privacy & Messaging is the certified consent-management solution selected for advertising consent in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. It will become active when QuizMilo's AdSense publisher configuration is available. Until then, QuizMilo's first-party panel controls GA4 consent and keeps advertising disabled.

QuizMilo has no CDN or proxy provider at present. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if lawfully required, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

Providers such as Google may process data outside Greece or the European Economic Area. Where GDPR transfer rules apply, transfers must use an appropriate legal safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses. More detail about a provider's own handling is available in that provider's privacy information.

Sharing quiz results

QuizMilo includes result-sharing features and links to social platforms. Sharing is optional. When you choose a platform or use your device's sharing feature, that service may receive the information you decide to share and may process it under its own privacy policy. QuizMilo does not currently embed social-media feeds or tracking widgets.

Please avoid sharing a result if it would reveal information you would rather keep private. Public posts can be copied or reshared by others.

How long information is kept

We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described in this policy, including security, troubleshooting, legal, and record-keeping needs. Different records have different lifetimes:

• Server and security logs are retained for a limited operational period determined with the hosting provider, unless an incident or legal obligation requires longer retention.
• Consent records are kept long enough to remember and demonstrate your current choice, subject to renewal requirements.
• GA4 data is kept according to QuizMilo's configured Google Analytics retention controls and is deleted or aggregated when it is no longer needed.

You may contact us for the current retention setting that applies to a particular category.

Your data-protection rights

If the GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability of data you provided, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time. These rights can depend on the circumstances, and lawful exceptions may apply.

QuizMilo does not currently use personal data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects through solely automated processing.

To make a privacy request, email privacy@quizmilo.com. Please describe the request clearly. We may need to ask for enough information to confirm your identity and locate relevant records, but we will not ask for unnecessary information.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, or with another competent supervisory authority. The Hellenic authority's complaint guidance asks people to raise the matter with the controller first where applicable, so please review its current instructions before submitting a complaint.

Age limit

QuizMilo is intended for people aged 16 and older and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe that a person under the applicable minimum age has provided personal information, contact privacy@quizmilo.com. We will review the report and delete the information where appropriate.

Security and changes to this policy

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect the website and the information handled through it. No internet service can promise absolute security.

We may update this policy when QuizMilo's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date shown on this page will be updated when a revised policy takes effect. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
